Frequently Asked Questions

Does emailing count in the hours of service? 

All of our services include email correspondence with your counselor/coach. Brief and easy email questions will be complementary. Longer emails with several questions or that require research before being answered will be counted in the hourly total for your package using 15 minute increments. 

Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?

Yes! Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unhappy with your service, please reach out via email to wbean@mycollegeconsultant.org. We will discuss transferring you to another counselor. If that is not satisfactory, a refund will be given according to the percentage of hourly service that has been used to that point. (For example, if 2 hours have been used of a 4 hour package, a refund of 50% will be given)

When are the counselors/coaches available for meetings?

Our counselors and coaches will be accommodating with family schedules. When it is time to schedule a virtual meeting, your counselor/coach will provide a minimum of three options that will include both weekday evening and weekend options. 

Do parents need to be present for virtual meetings?

For the first virtual meeting, at least one parent needs to be present. During this first meeting, parents can give permission for the counselor/coach to meet virtually with the student, without the parent present, if all parties are comfortable with this.
